I want to wish my opponent all the best in his campaign.
Welcome to my new website. derekkirsopp.com
I’ve worked in media production for a long time. Starting out as a musician, session vocalist, and composer. After becoming the first person in my family to earn a college degree, I started working in the film and television industry, as an editor, actor, crew, sound guy, and Assistant Director. In college, I became really interested in Political Science, and had a growing desire to get into politics, to do more for my community. I’ve been a Judge of Elections for the past few years, and now, my sights are set on becoming an MDJ.
Me as Captain Henry “Light horse” Jarret, in the film “Fries Rebellion”
I worked as Swing Assistant Director, Grip & Electric on St. Nick, shot right here in Bethlehem.

Here I am, hamming it up, on the set of The Hail Mary film, shot here in the Lehigh Valley.
I worked as an undercover FBI Agent on this A&E show.
Let me introduce myself:
Hi, I’m Derek. Although I could only get signatures for the Democratic ballot, I am a moderate democrat at heart, which makes me an impartial candidate! I support many different viewpoints, which gives me the ability to see things from both sides, which is precisely the quality needed in a Magisterial District Judge! We are ALL one community, with equal rights under the law!
Best of luck to my opponent, Jacob E. Hammond
As I promised, at the beginning of my campaign, I am running a gentleman’s campaign. You will not see dirty politics, negativity, or attack ads in my campaign. My political opponent is not my enemy!
I wish Jake the best of luck, and if he beats me fair and square, I’ll take him out for a beer!
Welcome to my new website!
